zelux-m-gfZelux® glass reinforced sheet is particularly used in applications where metals particularly die cast aluminum and zinc, areZelux M-GF commonly used. The coefficient of thermal expansion of glass-filled Zelux® is reduced by nearly 75%, thus equaling that of some metals. While many parts are ultimately injection molded, stock shapes are used extensively for prototyping and small quantity production runs. Glass-reinforces Zelux® has less impact strength than un-reinforced grades. However, it is tougher and more impact resistant than most other plastics and die-cast aluminum. Zelux® is easy to fabricate, paint, and glue. Zelux® M-GF is glass filled polycarbonate available in 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%.
