Kynar Superflex® 2500-20 PVDF, a flexible high-purity material tailored for use as flexible tubing and fittings for the Kynar Superflexchemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and pulp and paper industries. Kynar Superflex® resin allows easier processing and a larger processing window due to its relatively low melting point compared to most fluoropolymers. Kynar Superflex® copolymer has excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases and ozone due to its high fluorine content. Kynar Superflex® PVDF is also available formulated with smoke suppressants that make this fluoropolymer suitable for use in the wire and cable markets as a jacketing material. With a flexural modulus of 35,000 psi, this resin is approximately ten times more flexible than standard PVDF homopolymers. Additional features of Kynar Superflex® PVDF are its high finished product clarity, FDA compliance under CFR21 177.2600, excellent impact strength, pigment acceptance, resistance to doses of gamma radiation, and shore D hardness of 55-60.
