UHMW-PE, or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is an extremely tough and abrasion resistant thermoplastic used for applications that require durability and/or abrasive wear resistance.
While UHMW-PE’s exterior features resemble various polyethylene materials, UHMW’s high physical and mechanical strength provides far better performance than standard polyethylene.
