Nylatron®, manufactured by DSM Plastics, is a popular plastic for gears, sheaves, sprockets, and other high wear, intricate parts. A plastic alloy combining nylon and molybdenum disulfide lubricant powder, Nylatron® is a strong material and is high wear, impact, and abrasion resistant. Like nylon, it is resistant to chemicals and hydrocarbons. It is easy to machine and fabricate with high precision.
