Metal Detectable PTFE is blue in color and when using an optical scanner, metal detection equipment or X-ray equipment the product can be detected. No matter the type of food you process, our product ensures that fragments (the dimension to be checked depending on product and instrumentation used) can be identified swiftly avoiding critical food contamination. The detection of foreign bodies during the processing and packaging of food products plays a fundamental role in ensuring safety, quality, and avoidance of costly plastic contamination in food. Not only do contamination accidents require production line stoppages and incur huge costs they also involve vast amounts of time and money to regain social trust.

Metal Detectable PTFE is FDA and EC 10/2011 approved. It is suitable to be used in contact with foodstuffs in accordance with U.S. legislation – FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 “Perfluorocarbon resins.”
