Fiberglass wall panels FRP for walls that get wet, dirty and bumped

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) panels give you a hard, washable surface that won't rot, rust, dent or need repainting. Glue them over drywall, plywood or block, trim the seams, and hose them down for years.

Emco stocks FRP sheet and matching trim, and cuts panels to size in our Cedar Grove, NJ shop.

Why facilities choose FRP

Painted drywall fails fast where there's steam, washdown or carts. FRP is a thin, tough skin that fixes that for a fraction of the cost of tile or stainless.

Moisture and mold resistant
The panel doesn't absorb water, so it won't swell, delaminate or feed mold and mildew.
Washes clean
Non-porous surface stands up to detergents, sanitizers and pressure washing.
Takes a beating
Glass-fiber reinforcement resists dents, scuffs and cracking from carts, mop buckets and equipment.
Fast, low-cost install
Lightweight sheets cut with standard tools and go up with adhesive. No grout, no painting.

  1. Prep and cutAcclimate panels to the room, then cut with a carbide blade. Leave about 1/8" at joints and corners for expansion.
  2. Apply adhesiveRoll or trowel FRP adhesive over the full back of the panel, not just spots or beads.
  3. Set and trimPress into place with a J-roller, add fasteners if required, and snap moldings over edges and seams.

Always follow the panel manufacturer's installation instructions and adhesive open times.
