CPVC is produced by the chlorination of polyvinyl chloride. As a result, CPVC is more ductile and corrosion resistant at high temperatures than PVC. CPVC is a strong material that exhibits high corrosion and chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, low moisture absorption, and excellent electrical and insulating properties. It also has good fire-retardant properties. CPVC has good dimensional and compressive strength. It is easy to form, machine and weld to close tolerances.
