Acrylic Mirror is made from a continually processed acrylic or polycarbonate sheet and then created using a process of vacuum metalizing, in which the sheet is given a mirror finish backed by a durable protective coating. Since acrylic mirror is approximately half the weight of glass and easier to install, it is ideal for displays, POP displays, signage, commercial aircraft lavatories, boat/yacht cabin areas, monitoring and surveillance operations, and other fabricated parts. Acrylic is also far cheaper to deliver and transport than glass.
Glass mirrors are often too heavy and present a severe risk for breakage and possible injury in certain locations. The shatter-resistant properties of acrylic make it a great choice for bath mirrors, home gyms, dressing areas, boats, and even children's play areas. Acrylic mirror has 17 times greater impact resistance than glass mirror of equal thickness and comprises half the weight.
Acrylic mirror is ideal for retail, food, advertising, and security applications. Acrylic mirror is highly reflective and available in reduced glare or scratch resistant. All sheets are protected on the front surface with clear film or paper masking.
Additional backings include:
FABBACK® — the industry’s toughest, most durable backing for protection against scratches
