Acetal is a rigid, strong material that is available in copolymer and homopolymer compounds. Its properties include low moisture absorption, good chemical resistance and good dimensional stability. It performs well in high temperature applications. Homopolymer acetal exhibits higher impact and tensile strength than copolymer acetal compounds. The copolymer compounds exhibit better chemical resistance and dimensional stability. Both formulations are highly machinable.
