A 60" x 120" CO2 laser cutting and engraving system now on Emco's fabrication floor — built for tighter tolerances, faster turnarounds, and larger sheet capacity.
Emco fabricates plastic components for customers who need clean edges, tight tolerances, and fast lead times. The OptiFlex 60120 gives our team a large-format laser platform purpose-built for exactly that: a 60" x 120" bed, a rack-and-pinion HyperDual motion package driven by servo motors on both sides of the table, and cut acceleration up to three times faster than the systems it replaces.
This addition also expands overall capacity in our laser cutting department, giving us more throughput to keep pace with growing order volume. Just as important, the larger 60" x 120" bed increases the maximum part size we can run in a single pass, opening the door to larger sheet layouts and bigger finished parts than our previous equipment could handle.
Servo-driven, dual-sided rack and pinion design delivers smooth cut radiuses at Kern's fastest processing speeds to date.
Keeps the laser source at a stable operating temperature, protecting cut quality and laser lifetime across long production runs.
A downdraft vacuum table and gantry-mounted fume arm keep material seated and debris clear during processing.

Acrylic is one of the materials this platform is built around. On the OPF60120 bed, Kern rates clean, single-pass acrylic cutting up to 1" thick, with full raster engraving support at any thickness in range.
Because our unit runs the 500W laser source, that thickness holds up at production feed rates — something our team will dial in per job based on edge finish requirements and cycle time.
Either way, expect a clean, flame-polished-looking edge straight off the bed — no secondary edge finishing required for most acrylic work.
