Whether you’re gluing acrylic, ABS, polycarbonate, styrene, or any other plastic, the right adhesive is essential for a strong bond. Emco Industrial Plastics carries a broad range of cyanoacrylate, solvent-based, and structural adhesives.

Solvent-based adhesives are widely used for bonding popular plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate, polystyrene, PETG, ABS PVC, butyrate, and polyurethane. These adhesives generally offer low viscosity and are clear . This low viscosity enables the adhesive, when applied at the edge, to “wick” into the joint by capillary action.

Solvent-based adhesives are available in a wide range of sizes, (starting at 4 oz.), fast, medium, or slow-setting grades, and application methods (brush, roll, bead or ribbon, spray.)

The choice of solvent-based adhesive formulation depends on the specific substrates, cure time, environmental resistance needed, and the application method, Contact an Emco Industrial Plastics representative who can help you choose the correct adhesive to meet the needs of your application.
