PVDF film made into a tape with an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive offers excellent chemical and corrosion resistance and has a high tensile strength.
Compared to many thermoplastics, PVDF (such as Kynar®, Solef®) has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet in thin sections such as films, PVDF components are flexible and transparent.
PVDF tape possesses high impact resistance and is tough and durable. It has good thermal stability and can be used in applications up to 300°F. Additionally, PVDF tape has extreme high purity which makes it a good candidate for food applications.
