Specifically designed to meet marine and outdoor environment conditions, marine grade HDPE boards provide sustainable surfaces without risk of splintering, rotting, or swelling. All marine grade HDPE boards from Emco Plastics undergo special postproduction treatments to enhance their ability to withstand the harsh effects of salt water, extended periods of moisture, and direct sunlight.

Cut-to-Size Marine Grade HDPE

HDPE marine boards are easily able to be fabricated into various outdoor components, including deck components, cabinets and countertops, doors and doorframes, swimming pool and dive platforms, and more. Emco Industrial Plastics offers cut-to-size HDPE marine boards for virtually all marine applications.

Seaboard™ HDPE

This UV stabilized material has great scratch and impact resistance, and stiffness yet is easy to fabricate and machine for the most demanding applications. It is ideal for outdoor cabinetry, furniture, signage, and recreational area applications. Seaboard HDPE has no moisture absorption, great scratch resistance and is FDA and USDA compliant.

Top Applications for Seaboard™ HDPE:

  • Marine and Non-Marine Outdoor Cabinetry / Furniture
  • Rails, Trim, and Components
  • Hatches / Covers
  •  Decorative Wood / Metal Replacement

Key Material Benefits for Seaboard™ HDPE:

  • Excellent Scratch Resistance
  • Weatherability (UV Stabilized)
  • Easy to Machine with Standard Tooling
  • Great Impact and Stiffness
  • Will not Delaminate, Chip, Rot, or Swell
  • No Moisture Absorption

Seaboard™ LITE HDPE

SeaboardLITE HDPE is produced utilizing co-extrusion technology that allows for solid outer surfaces with a foamed core. The core is produced with a closed cell structure that eliminates propagation of moisture within the core. It weighs 1/3 less than solid HDPE representing an opportunity for cost savings.

Top Applications:

  • Marine and Non-Marine Outdoor Cabinetry / Furniture
  • Hatches and Covers for Recreational Vehicles
  • Rails, Trim, and Components
  • Decorative Wood / Metal Replacement

Benefits of Marine Grade HDPE

  • Resistant to Marine Conditions
  • High Impact strengths
  • Excellent Tensile Strength
  • Energy Absorption
  • Abrasion Resistance to stress cracks
  • Decorative, textured surface
  • Minimal show of wear, dirt, & scratches
  • Available in a variety of colors

Marine grade HDPE is manufactured as a continuous extrusion; therefore, it is guaranteed not to delaminate during the service-life of the end-product. It also meets FDA approval for direct food contact.
