  What We Do

Emco Plastics was founded in 1983 by Bill Egner and Mark Mercadante who wanted to combine the inventory and buying power of a large distributor with the capabilities of an experienced plastic fabricator who could work with a variety of different materials. Emco grew through the years and now distributes for every major plastics manufacturer in the United States and throughout the world.

Emco Plastics realizes that people are our greatest asset and the sales staff has over 100 years of experience in plastics distribution. When you call, you are guaranteed to get a customer service representative who knows you, your business, and your needs. Turnover at Emco is nonexistent, so you will be able to deal with and build a relationship with the same person for years to come.

We stock over one million dollars worth of inventory spread out over 60 different types of plastics in rod, sheet, tubing, profile, and films. Emco can provide certification to MIL specs, Federal specifications, AMS standards, or RoHs compliancy. We will always ship out orders in a timely manor whether it is full sheets, cut to size pieces, or fabricated parts.

Emco Plastics’ computerized cutting department is equipped with the newest state of the art saw from Schelling. We can cut any plastic materials to a tolerance of plus or minus .005 with a smooth chip free edge which will require no secondary machining. Our fine particle dust collection system will provide you with a clean cut pieces, free of particles and contaminants. Emco will even cut phenolics, glass polyesters, and fiberglass material which would normally dull your blades and create a dusty mess in your shop.

Machined components from engineering plastics and high performance plastics are our specialty. Since we stock large volumes of all materials, you are not forced to pay for full lengths. We will machine your parts to print and only charge you for the material consumed. Emco’s facility contains CNC lathes, millers, and routers to machine parts from sheet stock, round rod, or tube. Emco routinely makes parts for food processing, machinery manufacturers, conveying, semiconductor, and the marine industries.

Chemical resistant plastics like polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC are made into tanks, cabinets, scrubbers, and vessels. Emco uses hot air and extrusion welders to provide leak free welds and joints. We even fabricate with FM4910 approved materials that are specified for use in the semiconductor and clean room industries. Emco can use its butt welding technology to form larger sheets which can be later formed into ducts, tubes, and columns in our large walk-in oven used for thermoforming.

Emco Plastics does custom fabrication of safety guards, boat windshields, and OEM change parts for manufacturers all over the East coast. We have a wide range of machinery and techniques that include thermoforming, infa-red heating, die cutting, vacuum forming, drape forming, oven bending, edge finishing, sand blasting, and solvent welding. From prototype to production runs, Emco will make the process of buying fabricated plastic goods easy and worry free.

Acrylic fabrication is an art that takes years to master. Here at Emco Plastics we have fabricators with many years of plastic experience in gluing, bending, polishing, and bending. From simple sign holders and frames to bubble free PS30 joints for vatrines and museum boxes, Emco has the right personnel to handle the job. We specialize in acrylic and PETG displays and store fixtures, selling them to retail chains all over the country. Emco will work with from design to pack outs, ship to a central distribution point, or drop ship to each individual store.

With our large stock shape inventory and complete custom fabrication facility under one roof, Emco can save you time and money by buying from a single source. Our experience and friendly customer service will make it easy and enjoyable to purchase plastics. We will always strive to do our best to keep our customers satisfied.
